Developed by psychologist Abraham Maslow, this five-tier pyramid offers a framework for understanding the diverse human needs that contribute to well-being. Physiological Needs:  The Foundation for Happiness The most basic human needs are physiological, such as food, water, air, sleep, shelter, and clothing.  Ensuring these fundamental needs are met is crucial for survival and maintaining good health.  When physiological needs are satisfied, individuals can avoid chronic stress, hunger, and illness, which can negatively impact happiness and well-being. 2.
